about her

The Offbeat Score is a space created entirely by multi-media artist Kamryn Sur.

Based in Hartford, CT, but often on the go, Kamryn travels internationally- solo and usually on somewhat short notice.

While there (where ever that may be), she shoots documentary style photos on 35mm film, and occasionally digital as well. Analogue is her preference though, and makes up the majority of her portfolio. There’s a cinematic yet dream-like quality to the photos, invoking the viewer’s imagination. Her photography also features motifs, series (like Love on Digital, or Love on Film), and accompanying written work.

As an illustrator, she is fueled by imagination, and an unquenched curiosity about the natural world, and what’s beyond it. Her illustrative collages combine elements of nature and spirituality, embodied by feminine figures. The viewer is invited into another realm, of the otherworldly and unseen. A mirror, a portal- to the vast inner world as well.

Apparel is the newest addition to The Offbeat Score multiverse. Keeping the integrity of the existing work and reflecting the offbeat values was priority. That’s why all materials used are second hand. Recycled. Kamryn wanted to use thrifted clothes as a canvas to be sustainable, while producing unique pieces as a result. Each a 1 of 1.
